This is our first Phil Wood hub that has 74mm dropout spacing. 74mm spacing is a standard size for a large segment of the folding bike world. This smaller dropout spacing is plenty wide in regards to wheel strength as it is always a small diameter wheel.
This particular wheel has been built up for a Brompton bike (16", 349mm ISO), though don't expect to see it locally or even domestically as it was shipped to France after I took these pictures. The rim is a Velocity Aeroheat 32 hole, though only 16 holes are being used.
I look at this hub and can see a guy with a black leather apron chucking a block of aluminum into a lathe to do his handywork. I realize that CNC is the more likely production method, but it's a beautiful component with an old school look about it. Lookin' Good Gilles! Enjoy it.

Do you have a bike related picture that you'd like to share? The idea here is to show us something fun or unique to others. A great picture from your last tour, or day ride would be fun to share, though possibly a custom light will spark some interest in others...
You can fill out any (or none) of the fields below regarding your information.
Only first names will be used in the Shopcast if your picture is used and the request for an e-mail address is to let you know if your picture is up.

We sell a lot of items and it's not always clear from the item description and picture if the product will be something of value to you.
Here's a place that you can make a request for us to profile the item on the Shopcast to help you to make a good choice. Feel free to request anything from a velcro legstrap to a swanky new bike. No need to be shy here (about an item being too small) as the chances are pretty high that if your wondering about something then likely there are others also needing clarity about the item.
The link to the item is probably not necessary, but might help to make sure we know what your wanting profiled. If you think there might be confusion then give us a link.

Profiling your bike on the Shopcast is a great way to share ideas about setting up and using your bike with the cycling community. We all have gained knowledge through studying other people's bikes and this is a fun, simple way to make your own bike available for others to check out.
None of the fields in the form are required, but a few words highlighting favorite features will help others to see them. On the other hand, if you have a story to tell about the bike then by all means tell it.
Pictures are a necessary part of getting your bike profiled because it's the only way for others to understand your bike. Please add about a dozen pictures (between 6 and 16). If you can size them down a maximum dimension of 700 pixels is good. No worries if resizing a picture is a problem for you (just send the photos and it will get done). If you don't have pictures and are local to us, feel free to ride by the shop and have us take pictures of your sweet ride.
