SON28 32H Dynamo Hub

Dynamo hubs provide the power for special lights on bicycles without the need for batteries. The Schmidt Dynamo front hub or SON (Schmidt's Original Nabendynamo) is extremely reliable and has almost no drag. Extremely popular amongst long distance cyclists who need reliable lighting for all-night cycling in any weather conditions.

At 16 km/h (in 700c-wheel) the SON 28 generator arrives at the conventional nominal output of 6 Volt/3 Watt and yields power with more than 65% efficiency for head and rear light or charging sets. With lights switched off a SON runs almost as smoothly as any good front-wheel hub without generator.
