The 40mm Straight Link Tube can function as either an articulating joint or a mini mount all by itself. The 7/8" is an industry standard size, which makes for easy connecting or mounting. The compact 40mm length is long enough to hold a small mount and short enough that, when acting as an articulating joint, it stylishly blends into the mounting system.
