A generator inside the Shimano Alfine Dynamo hub produces energy which powers the light(s) on your bike. No need to wonder if your batteries are charged. The energy is always available to power your light and shine the road in front of you. A commuters dream! Every one of us at Perennial Cycle has dynamo lighting setup on our bikes. If you are a transportation cyclist or a touring cyclist, adding a dynamo to your bike should be high on the list. The same power used for the lights can be used to charge your phone or backup battery.

Our hand-built Shimano Alfine Dynamo Wheel uses Shimano's durable and efficient yet affordable Hub Dynamo, DT Swiss Stainless spokes, and a Sun-Ringlé Rhyno-Lite double walled aluminum, eyeletted rim. The Alfine hub has Ultegra grade bearings and the rims are ultra durable yet lightweight, commuter/touring friendly quality.
