A generator inside the Sanyo Dynamo hub produces energy which powers dynamo light(s) on your bike. No need to wonder if your batteries are charged. The energy is always available to power your light and shine the road in front of you. A commuters dream!

Every one of us at Perennial Cycle has dynamo lighting set up on our bikes. If you are a transportation cyclist or a touring cyclist, adding a dynamo to your bike should be a priority. The same power used for the lights can be used to charge your phone or backup battery.

Our hand-built Sanyo Wheel uses Sanyo's affordable dynamo hub, DT Swiss Stainless spokes, and a 26" or 700c double walled eyeletted, aluminum rim. Sanyo's hub has the same power spec (6V, 3W) as dynamo hubs 8 times its price. This is a durable, long lasting touring or commuting wheel that isn't quite as efficient as the Shimano or SON dynamo wheels, but an impressive wheel for the money.
